:: Scott has been paddling for nearly forty years. As a member of the Penobscot Indian Nation, paddling is part of life. At 4 years old Scott remembers fishing with his Dad in a wood/canvas Old Town canoe. Racing got in his blood in high school, and while attending the University of Maine he became more involved with racing and whitewater paddling. In 1989 he won his first National Whitewater Open Canoe Championship. He later went on to win a total of 8 National Championships.

Scott worked for Old Town Canoe for 14 years in roles including customer service rep, boat designer, marketing and national sales manager. Scott is now owner of Waterway Sports, Inc. representing many paddlesports lines in New England.

In any spare time Scott enjoys paddling, hunting, fishing, & spending time outdoors with his family and friends.


:: Born and raised in southeast Pennsylvania, Tom's been around water all his 29 years. During a break in college he headed west for great fishing and worked a few years as a licensed drift boat guide on the Snake River in Idaho. Returning to PA, Tom worked at a local outdoor shop selling gear, getting his feet wet in a kayak and finishing his college degree. In 1998 Tom began his career as a sale rep after being hired by H2Sports in the mid-Atlantic area handling many lines of outdoor gear including Danner, Alpine Aire, Seattle Sports, Old Town, Bending Branches, Carlisle, Dimension, Mountain Surf among others.

In 2002, Tom moved north to New England to join Waterway Sports and now handles all accounts in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Tom has extensive experience in retailing, outfitting, guiding and of course being a sales rep in the outdoor industry. Kayaking, canoeing, fishing and hunting continue to occupy most of any free time he finds!


:: Marc is a Maine native and is referred to, by those closest to him, as "the genuine article". His passion for paddling knows no bounds. Marc has developed an ardent love of education in the outdoors through 18 formative years of leading wilderness expeditions as well as teaching and coaching alpine ski racing. For 10 years he taught environmental education and lead expeditions for the Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset, Maine.

In 1997 he formed Compass Rose Expeditions to lead personal clients around the world and has experience leading expeditions in Thailand, Ireland, Canada, Southern Chile, The Great Lakes, and of course, the Coast of Maine. Before joining Waterway Sports Marc was the Northeastern Sales Representative for Boréal Design sea kayaks. Certifications include Professional Maine Guide, Wilderness First Responder, MYCA Trip Leader Instructor, ACA Sea Kayak Instructor and American Red Cross Instructor.
